Article Processing Charges

Physical Education and Sports: Studies and Research (PESSR) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the costs of journal management, peer review, editing, online hosting, DOI registration, long-term archiving, and publication.

PESSR is an online-only, open-access journal published exclusively in electronic format (E-ISSN). No print edition is published or distributed.

The APC for accepted manuscripts is:

1. IDR 750,000 (for authors based in Indonesia)
2. USD 50 (for international authors)

The APC is charged only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. No fees are charged for submission, initial screening, or peer review.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, scientific quality, and relevance to the journal’s scope through an independent peer-review process.

PESSR charges a fee for author-requested corrections to manuscripts after the peer review process has been completed or after publication.

Correction processing fee: USD 50 / IDR 750,000 per request

This fee applies only to:

1. Author-initiated changes requested after the completion of peer review or after publication
2. Corrections that do not involve publisher errors

Corrections resulting from editorial or publisher errors will be processed at no charge.

Authors requesting corrections must submit their request using the official Correction Request Form available on the journal’s website.

PESSR is committed to transparency in all financial matters. All fees are used solely to support the sustainability and quality of the journal’s publishing operations.

Editorial decisions are made independently and are never influenced by financial considerations, in accordance with COPE principles and best practices in scholarly publishing.
