Abstrak

Keterampilan passing atas merupakan teknik dasar penting dalam permainan bolavoli yang sering menjadi kendala bagi atlet muda, termasuk di Klub Bolavoli Satria Sejati Semarang. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, sebagian besar atlet mengalami kesulitan dalam kontrol arah bola, kekuatan dorongan, dan posisi tangan yang stabil. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan passing atas atlet muda melalui penerapan metode latihan passing ke dinding yang bersifat praktis dan mudah diterapkan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua bulan, dengan frekuensi latihan tiga kali per minggu, melibatkan 24 atlet berusia 13–17 tahun. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest, di mana data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui perbandingan selisih rata-rata (mean difference). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan passing atas dari rata-rata 35,75 menjadi 39,41, dengan selisih 3,66 poin. Peningkatan ini mencerminkan efektivitas latihan ke dinding dalam memperbaiki kontrol bola, kekuatan dorongan, dan ketepatan pantulan. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi atlet, sekaligus memperkuat kapasitas pelatih dalam menerapkan model latihan berbasis ilmiah secara berkelanjutan di lingkungan klub.  Implikasi dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa metode latihan sederhana seperti passing ke dinding dapat dijadikan alternatif efektif dalam program pembinaan teknik dasar bolavoli bagi atlet muda di tingkat klub.

Abstract

Overhead passing skills are a fundamental technique in volleyball that often poses a challenge for young athletes, including those at the Satria Sejati Volleyball Club in Semarang. Based on initial observations, most athletes struggle to control the direction of the ball, maintain the power of their push, and keep a stable hand position. This community service activity aims to enhance the overhead passing skills of young athletes by applying a practical and easy-to-implement wall passing training method. The activity was conducted over a period of two months, with training sessions held three times a week, involving 24 athletes aged 13–17 years. The implementation method employed an experimental approach with a pretest–posttest design, where data were analyzed descriptively by comparing mean differences. The results showed an increase in passing ability from an average of 35.75 to 39.41, with a difference of 3.66 points. This improvement reflects the effectiveness of wall training in improving ball control, pushing power, and bounce accuracy. This activity also had a positive impact on increasing athlete motivation, while strengthening coaches' capacity to continuously apply scientifically based training models in the club environment.
