Publication Ethics and Policies

Darmabakti: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and editorial transparency. The journal follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing to ensure the integrity, credibility, and quality of the scholarly publishing process.

1. Allegations of Research Misconduct

Darmabakti has established procedures for handling allegations of research and publication misconduct, regardless of how concerns are raised. The journal investigates all allegations of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, authorship disputes, peer-review manipulation, and other unethical practices in accordance with COPE guidelines. Appropriate editorial actions will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.

2. Authorship and Contributorship

Darmabakti requires clear authorship and contributorship policies to ensure transparency regarding individual contributions to published work. All listed authors must meet the journal's authorship criteria, and any authorship disputes will be handled fairly following COPE recommendations. The journal encourages authors to describe their individual contributions using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy).

3. Complaints and Appeals

Darmabakti provides a transparent process for handling complaints and appeals related to editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, or journal management. All complaints are treated fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with COPE guidance to ensure an impartial resolution.

4. Conflicts of Interest

The journal requires authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members to disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the objectivity of the publication process. All declared competing interests will be managed appropriately to maintain editorial independence and transparency.

5. Data Availability and Reproducibility

Darmabakti encourages authors to make research data, implementation materials, protocols, instruments, and other supporting information available whenever ethically and legally appropriate. Authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement to promote transparency, reproducibility, and responsible research practices.

6. Peer Review Process

Darmabakti implements a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure objective and unbiased evaluation of manuscripts. Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript before editorial decisions are made.

9. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

The journal supports post-publication scholarly discussion and maintains procedures for issuing corrections, corrigenda, editorial expressions of concern, or article retractions whenever necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.

10. Additional Editorial Policies

To support responsible scholarly publishing, Darmabakti maintains additional editorial policies, including Generative AI Policy, Archiving Policy, Copyright and Licensing Policy, Open Access Policy, and other editorial guidelines available on the journal website. Authors are expected to comply with all applicable policies before submitting their manuscripts.

11. Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

As a distinctive feature of the journal, Darmabakti promotes community engagement that contributes to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
