Sport, Exercise, and Injury (SE) has published Volume 1 Issue 2 (2025), officially released on December 30, 2025. This issue presents five articles that address current topics in sports injury, physical performance, injury prevention, and applied sports science across both competitive and community sport settings.
The articles cover a range of themes, including an analysis of sports injuries following the implementation of the 2023 Pencak Silat competition regulations for athletes aged 17–35, and a comparative descriptive study of physical fitness profiles between female long-distance and sprint swimmers at the Petrokimia Gresik Club. Injury prevention is further explored through a case study on head injury prevention strategies among boxers at HAN Academy Malang, as well as an examination of dominant physical factors influencing volleyball skills using confirmatory analysis in a youth volleyball team. This issue also includes a systematic review on the effects of the FIFA 11+ program on lower limb functional outcomes, highlighting evidence-based approaches to neuromuscular preparation and injury prevention.
Together, these contributions strengthen the scientific understanding of injury mechanisms, physical conditioning, and preventive strategies in sport. The studies emphasize practical implications for coaches, practitioners, and sports organizations, while also contributing to the growing body of research in sport, exercise, and injury science.
We sincerely thank all authors for their valuable contributions and for their commitment to producing rigorous and well-prepared manuscripts. Their work supports the mission of Sport, Exercise, and Injury (SE) to disseminate research that bridges scientific evidence with real-world practice in sport and exercise contexts.
We also invite researchers, practitioners, and academics to submit their best original research articles, applied case studies, and high-quality reviews to Sport, Exercise, and Injury (SE). Submissions that demonstrate clear methodology, transparent reporting, and practical relevance are especially welcome.
